Episode 38 : Movie Review - KIL

KIL ... pelik betul tajuk film nie. this is not a typical, stereotypical kinda movie. 

i sesorang jea  tgk this movie today, empty. at first ada lah this makcik with her 2 daughter so the four of us in side the theater, 20 minit after the movie start this makcik left and follow by her 2 daughter moment later. this makcik ingat citer wawa semput kot hahahaha.

KIL about a story of Akil (redza minhat, gosh drooling he so talented and so HOT) that wanted to kill himself but cannot do it after several attempts and then he went to this' company 'of which offer to help him to commit suicide. zara came to his picture and  make him wanted to live and appreciated life. but it to late coz the 'company' already hire someone to kill him. soooooo if you want to know what happen next go and see this movie ok.

Like i said, this is not a typical malay movie, the urban storytelling is new to malaysia audience. Redza minhat give a very compelling and believable acting as a lonely, disturb and depress young man. the layering of emotion shown by him superb. this movie is not for everybody, those who are tired of stereotypical malay movie, KIL is a movie for you. other character help to make this movie complete, even ELLA as jiran to akil, help. 

if you like unorthodox kinda movie you will love KIL. REdza minhat so hot, hemsom, sexy and talented, hahahah other reasons to watch it. go now!

Episode 33: Rome & Vatican City

sound of the water taxi woke me and i realize today last day of my Venezia adventure. the last stroll along the maze of venice this morning, lead me to theirs farmers market. the fishy smell,sound of bargainers add color to this old and damp market. spring flowers, vegetable and spices are the star at today market. stop again at one's of the kiosk for a quick shop venice own T-shirt for remembrance.

Leaving venice fell like leaving Romeo at the balcony. my love hate relationship with venice seems unresolved. Good bye Venezia, good bye Romeo till we meet again. 

Arrived in Rome jet leg. at the train station my body and my brain do not sync.after a few week here my body, my soul tired. dragging my feet, my bag to our hotel. i did care that time some paparazzi take my picture, f*** off (wahhh Britney spears sgt). luckily our hotel very comfy, the moment in the room i doze off till morning. 

refresh by sipping coffee, the journey exploring Rome begin with Vatican City. The stand alone city a warship place or a holly place for christianity. the crowd massive and the line to see inside the city is longer than the q for abercrombie and fitch sale. Vatican city exterior, the pillars, the statues and the fountain, the history make me dizzy and left the compound wandering what had happen to me. 

walking from vatican city to ancient rome is like walking on a movies set of Gladiator, 300 and other inspired rome themed movie. each corner of this city is history book 3D. the building ,massive, the architecture, massive, the man, massive ehhhhhh whatttt?!! behave 

these some of the picture i took around rome. piaza d'spana is where i belong, the designer outlets along the street make me wanna cry with joy. nak prada satu!

Yay dapat.

hahaha. the well spend euro for prada, no regret!. Rome city itself very big and not enough if you only spend a day here, like me. lots of place, interesting places that i x sempat to visit. Next time maybe.

Episode 35 : Bangkok (revisit)

Bangkok known for Heaven on earth phenomena, for me Bangkok is heaven for shopping, quality goods with a cheap price and hot here  48'c

Been here several times, this time with my partner in crime (kak yati) who also my partner in business. 2hrs flight from KLIA. start conversation about recent political turmoil in our country (hahaha silaplah ajak kak yati urge politic) she forever blue, but i have so much fun.hahahaha

Baiyoke Sky hotel is our destination for tonight. wow this hotel is the tallest in Bangkok and our room at 71st floor. scary .....

Little that we know about this hotel the they have an observation deck up in 83rd floor dan ianyer berpusing. best... if your are hotel guest it free to go up there, if not you have to pay a fees.

The next 3 days we here is all about shopping for our business here in malaysia. at weekend market or at BTS or shopping complex here, the price is so cheap. more cheaper if your buy in bulk (wholesale).

The only set back is very difficult for us to find a muslim food, kalau ada pun jauh. luckily at Surrounding Baiyoke Sky Hotel there a lot Muslim restaurant here and the price not cheap. cheapest transportation is the MRT of which far more efficient there ours. Taking a cab in Bangkok will make you said 'wtf" why? coz for the 3 days we take a cab to the same place the price is difference and the route also difference. if you got the younger taxi driver i would say they more honest than the old one, and much much hotter.....opsssss

Bangkok more than what you see, what you read. books did not do justice to Bangkok. you have to experience Bangkok yourself.

Episode 34: Langkawi (revisit)

This time with my sister's family and it's long overdue, for long my sister dreams of vacationing in Langkawi. The journey begin at 10pm at night by bus.yes people i do travel by bus and it took us 14 hours to reach Kuala Perlis. The bus company "STARMART" give me horror experience riding a bus. Hampeh

1st> the driver almost stop at every R& R (adoii bila nak smapai nie)

2nd> at alor star we were ask to change bus and to add to the misery i left my luggage in the bus. OMG all my things in that bag. Well, nothing going to spoil my vacation. (Thank Allah i got back my luggage with everything inside. collect when i back in jb. AMIN)

Slow but steady ferry ride to the island, the calm see did not calm my wandering thought of whereabout my luggage. The hot and stuffy ferry make me sweat. lesson no 1, choose to sit back of the ferry where the air cord are, if you sit in front row like me, the cold air did not reach you. an Hour ride and we arrived the mystical and Legendary Langkawi island. what a hot hot whether here in this island only starbuck frappacino can cools me down.

The only way for you to enjoy Langkawi is by driving. There a lot of company or person offers you a rental car, i said choose wisely. truthfully i did not know the going rate for car rental but i would said if it reasonable why not.  Luck for me that i have a customer who happen to have a car here in the island, so one car free (thank you En Azmi).Coz we are in a big group of 10, so we need one more car, Lan the car renter (hahaha bole lah, sesuka aje) give me a very good deal for 4 days rent Avanza RM350. ok kot. Seaview Apartment our micasa for this 4 days, ok nice place, cheap and great if you come here with family of 10 like me. Rested. Ahhhh heaven when your balcony have a veiw to die for. the sea breeze put me to a nap. snore....

The evening, pekan Kuah become our amazing race,franticly looking for short,shirt of wherever , where's all the designer shop...where??? owhh i forgot i m not in kansas, ohh well i wear what the local wear (not sarong lah, i know janet will love to see me in sarong running around Kuah town) End 1st hectic with dinner in a local warong and eats local delicacies, tom yam (ehhh bukan ke tu thailand food), lantaklah dah lapar. My sister plan of buying the 'pingganmangkuk" which is told very cheap here. Speaking of 'pinggan mangkuk' nak side track sikit..... 

Episode meroyan 1:

 when i told that i vacation to langkawi and told that my sister nak beli pinggangmagkuk, well a friend of mine told me that i should buy also( perli i lah tu). sbb i know the i have a few plate that rundown but i still use it (personal use) and if i got family and friend come for dinner or i invited them for dinner i use my corelle or vission or Le Creuset (hebat sgt kann mesti x tau le creuset apa). kalau kwn2 yg dah biasa dtg(rakyat jelata) and i know that he/she did not mind to use the rundown plate, so i did not bother to change to a expensive plate. that remark make me piss off coz it come from a so call bff. this is why i seldom invited people to my house. i like certain way to decorate my house, of which  some of you did not agree.did i care??? HELL NO. When i go the people house i understand how much work, money and creativity for you to decorate your house. i respect that coz your house is your sanctuary, your escape to real life.  Yes i did not sweep my house so often (2 minggu sekali)  ada habuk sana sini. yes i know that. i bukan pengotor (i know that my house is clean)  this is my house and if people come i will portray a good imej and kalu bedah or senah or mak jemah yg dtg, of which i know they just nak tumpang tido or mandi or just lepak2 , this is me and my house, mereka faham.(hope so). anyway thank you for that remark, i will take in to consideration. or NOT

ok that is my episode of meroyan. i need to get this out of my system. Back to Langkawi, 2nd day visit all the tourist hotspot. like i wrote before, Langkawi is the place for you and you family to came for a weekend holiday or school holiday. i would suggest to rent a car and drive thru the vast and green landscape. A few place to shop like Haji Ismail Group or Idaman suri and other's too. the price more or less the same.

2nd night we had dinner in Restoran Nelayan, the food are great, fresh and not that expensive, cuma lambat skit makanan sampan. 


waterfalls, beaches, small islands surrounding langkawi, mangrove forest, caves and green landscape what make Langkawi famous. Go and visit Langkawi Island if you got the time. i highly suggest you fly instead of come my bus or ferry.

Langkawi is tourist destination, known world wide. my observation is the ferry services need to improve. Ferry not arrive in time, delay and i would suggest the arriving and departure gate on the separate door. please do let all the people off the ferry than only let people on it. chaos i tell you. i also would like a porter services to carry all the luggage or boxes in the ferry.

Episode 32: Venice via Brigg

I m leaving on a train, my theme song for the journey. Brigg is our 1st stop to Venice, step out of the train in the early hour in Brigg you not regret at all. Surround by the Alps, view from the platform it self to die for, the rest of Brigg ohhhhhh heaven i believe.

Tu día Venice kalau korang x tau. my impression of Venice, damn there a lot of canals and bangladeshi who sell umbrella in front of your face. Hellooooooo. (masa i sampan sana pouring rain). 

Rain did not stop me to enjoy Venice. Water taxi is the only transportation here and it cost you around EUR15 (you need to buy ticket( a day pass) outside train station) , if you like me who are like to walk (adoiii penat) than you will enjoy venice like a fine wine. venice is beyond what you see in picture. The well structure houses and theater dragging my feet thru the maze in rain to see all this historical building like watching history channel, like me, who  see beyond what at the surface, you will lost in translation as Venice is very much what you see outside not necessarily translate inside. The plot became more complicated as the road it self when you wondering the canal and you see all the shop, people and surrounding of venice.

Episode 31: Schwaglp and Appenzell, revisit Zurich Switzerland

what is swiss to me? Heaven ! Everyway here is like cut from a postcard.perfect picturesque. Schwaglp is like a white winter wonderland, 45 minute drive from wintherthur, this zigzag road to the top with view to die for. I always wanted to see, feel , smell snow as long as i can remember and today blessed by Allah i m here in Schwaglp Switzerland doing that. The view magnificent and breathless, magical , ohhhh only if you're here you will know how i feel. My first time to be on a snowy ground, i laugh, i cry , i amazed and all thank to Allah. People, dreams do come true if you work hard and pray, He will hear you and grant your wish.

snow white eat your heart out, i am the new ice queen here in Schwaglp Hahahaha. (Snow white and the drag queen, tajuk movie) katernyerrr.

Next to appenzell town, which only man allow to vote here, hahh that my kind of town, man rule.The a lot of painted houses with a lot of windows (Matilerrr kalau raya, nak tukar langsir uols) This town is famous for their people, i mean thier " short" people (this is were the hobbit come from)(mampusss mak kene ban pass nie x le nak g sana lg) that was long long time ago but now they like model size (gitewsss nak cover line). Nice town, great view, love love your hot chocolat and ypur pastry. I will coming back.

Our last night in Switzerland, revisit Zurich at night and Abg Mat show us around town, old and new. Cold air did not stop us to enjoy the Zurich night life , fills with suise enjoy thier drinks after a long day.

Back home Abang Mat cook us roti canai swiss style (thank you, tekak ni dah x leh nak terima western food dah) for our last supper in his swiss cottage. Again Abg MAt and JAnet your hospitality, your kindness remembered till the end.

Sadden leaving winterhur and family here disturb my sleep and wake up to the sound of coffee and croissant for our last breakfast. Tears droff us to train station after a watery good bye to Janet, our angel. It hard to say goodbye to Abg Mat, like a brother advise us to be carefull. Last goodbye leaving Abg Mat at Platform 4 and we on our way to Venice via Brig.

Episode 30: Luzern switzerland

This heavenly place suggest by Abg Mat and Jenat, about 2hrs from winterhur, Luzern is not what you expected, a postcard perfect town with a huge lake surrounding this medieval town, I feel like in a period movie wearing the lavish costume and living in one of castle eques houses.

here lots of tourist from mainland china.why? Because of the watches here cheap (cheap according to them, designer watches like Rolex, Omega etc). So i did the chinese does, i also buy a watch and its ICE watch (craft as designed in Belgium, original Japan movement,assembled in China) hahahaha

Time flies as well as the swan, we move to Zurich just a quick tour around the train station and back home to a hearty meal prepare by Abg Mat, curry chicken with rice and veggies. Ahhhh what a meal, Abg Mat really can cook, Abg Mat daughter Munira join us for dinner. I really do miss the family dinner and conversation as my parent no longer with me. May Allah bless their soul.Amin. The conversation lasted till wee hours as i lay my sleepy eyes to sleep, the grayish Luzern memories remain.

Episode 29: Winterhur Switzerland

Winterhur, little know about this town. We come here as invitation from a new found friend (thank to asseq for introducing us). Abang Mat greet us at train station and show us around this sleepy town (coz there are still on public holiday). As we tour around town, the smell of cheese lingering and we end up at the highest point of Winterthur, the view is devine.

Abg Mat little swiss cottage with the river flows behind just like what i imagine. Home cook dinner, mee siam goring with swiss traditional dessert (pouch peach with heavely swiss chocolat sous) remind me of home. The comfy bed and the sound of river flows, lullabies me to sleep.

Wake up with the smell of fresh baked bread make by Janet (Abg Mat wife), good morning Winterhur, breakfast with homemade grape jam and Swiss coffee would perk up my malay tounge that use to nasi lemak and roti canai.

Our journey to Rhinefalls takes about 45 minutes drive. heaven must be like this, my 1st reaction and i m spechless the only word that come out of my mouth is alhamdulilah, shukur . speechless. Yes i m lost of word. Hope this short video will say it all. From Rhinefalls str8 to Rhines am Stein, another beutifull place fills with history and painted houses, with river run thru that fills with swans and birds a like. Whilst sipping my hot chocolat with a signature pastry in one of many cozy cafes located along the rivers, breathing clean air and beutiful yet warm ambience make you lost of time.

Dinner at home with Janet's cooks a traditional meal ( i forgot what it call). It so so delish make me eat like a cow (thank you Janet for this meal, you and Abg Mat hospitality is beyond only Allah repy your kindness, Amin) , after dinner conversation surround politik, personal and down memory lane as Abg Mat recall his hay days in Malaysia, end the day with lots lots of sweet memories that i cherish till i die. Thank you Allah

Episode 28: Frankfurt Germany

Welcome to the land of Heidi Klum ( hahaha that the only famous German yang i kenal, selain Hitler) Arrived in Frankfurt at 430pm local time. We stay at Alder Hotel for 2nights €50 per night, ok nice hotel near the train station and public transport.

Trains pass thru Holland vast landscape, rivers, canals and villages make me miss Malaysia and it only been a week.

Frankfurt main (this german lady explain that main means river in german) is financial hub of German and a lots of Banks and is damn expensive here. Maps in other country given free but here need to pay €0.50 wtf!! Fridge Magnet €5 ea (sini taknde jual longgok2 ea 3 €5).

i would say nothing much here except for the grand architecture building, huh for me this type of architecture when u see it once you see it all. I m bored. Why? Coz all the structure is most of them is the same and the motive, the statuesque same (matilah mak kene keji gan arkitek seluruh dunia pass nie) this my layman opinion. New architecture here are very much forward, the contras what make Frankfurt alive.

Wow getting colder here, snowing and it Easter Holiday and all shop closed for 2 day, lagi sekali wtf!!! Macam mana i nak shop and spend my euros here (kannn mcm byk sgt euros). But here Toywatch so cheap €135 jeah but the damn shop closed!

One more interesting thing that frankfurt have is their underground pedestrian way which connect to all major street and offices and i found this bridge that dedicated to all the lovers, u came to this bridge and express your love to each other they you lock it away, literary with a padlock, dozen, i mean millions padlock across this bridge, with your name on it.
