Episode 31: Schwaglp and Appenzell, revisit Zurich Switzerland

what is swiss to me? Heaven ! Everyway here is like cut from a postcard.perfect picturesque. Schwaglp is like a white winter wonderland, 45 minute drive from wintherthur, this zigzag road to the top with view to die for. I always wanted to see, feel , smell snow as long as i can remember and today blessed by Allah i m here in Schwaglp Switzerland doing that. The view magnificent and breathless, magical , ohhhh only if you're here you will know how i feel. My first time to be on a snowy ground, i laugh, i cry , i amazed and all thank to Allah. People, dreams do come true if you work hard and pray, He will hear you and grant your wish.

Next to appenzell town, which only man allow to vote here, hahh that my kind of town, man rule.The a lot of painted houses with a lot of windows (Matilerrr kalau raya, nak tukar langsir uols) This town is famous for their people, i mean thier " short" people (this is were the hobbit come from)(mampusss mak kene ban pass nie x le nak g sana lg) that was long long time ago but now they like model size (gitewsss nak cover line). Nice town, great view, love love your hot chocolat and ypur pastry. I will coming back.

Our last night in Switzerland, revisit Zurich at night and Abg Mat show us around town, old and new. Cold air did not stop us to enjoy the Zurich night life , fills with suise enjoy thier drinks after a long day.

Back home Abang Mat cook us roti canai swiss style (thank you, tekak ni dah x leh nak terima western food dah) for our last supper in his swiss cottage. Again Abg MAt and JAnet your hospitality, your kindness remembered till the end.

Sadden leaving winterhur and family here disturb my sleep and wake up to the sound of coffee and croissant for our last breakfast. Tears droff us to train station after a watery good bye to Janet, our angel. It hard to say goodbye to Abg Mat, like a brother advise us to be carefull. Last goodbye leaving Abg Mat at Platform 4 and we on our way to Venice via Brig.

Episode 30: Luzern switzerland

This heavenly place suggest by Abg Mat and Jenat, about 2hrs from winterhur, Luzern is not what you expected, a postcard perfect town with a huge lake surrounding this medieval town, I feel like in a period movie wearing the lavish costume and living in one of castle eques houses.

here lots of tourist from mainland china.why? Because of the watches here cheap (cheap according to them, designer watches like Rolex, Omega etc). So i did the chinese does, i also buy a watch and its ICE watch (craft as designed in Belgium, original Japan movement,assembled in China) hahahaha

Time flies as well as the swan, we move to Zurich just a quick tour around the train station and back home to a hearty meal prepare by Abg Mat, curry chicken with rice and veggies. Ahhhh what a meal, Abg Mat really can cook, Abg Mat daughter Munira join us for dinner. I really do miss the family dinner and conversation as my parent no longer with me. May Allah bless their soul.Amin. The conversation lasted till wee hours as i lay my sleepy eyes to sleep, the grayish Luzern memories remain.

Episode 29: Winterhur Switzerland

Winterhur, little know about this town. We come here as invitation from a new found friend (thank to asseq for introducing us). Abang Mat greet us at train station and show us around this sleepy town (coz there are still on public holiday). As we tour around town, the smell of cheese lingering and we end up at the highest point of Winterthur, the view is devine.

Abg Mat little swiss cottage with the river flows behind just like what i imagine. Home cook dinner, mee siam goring with swiss traditional dessert (pouch peach with heavely swiss chocolat sous) remind me of home. The comfy bed and the sound of river flows, lullabies me to sleep.

Wake up with the smell of fresh baked bread make by Janet (Abg Mat wife), good morning Winterhur, breakfast with homemade grape jam and Swiss coffee would perk up my malay tounge that use to nasi lemak and roti canai.

Our journey to Rhinefalls takes about 45 minutes drive. heaven must be like this, my 1st reaction and i m spechless the only word that come out of my mouth is alhamdulilah, shukur . speechless. Yes i m lost of word. Hope this short video will say it all. From Rhinefalls str8 to Rhines am Stein, another beutifull place fills with history and painted houses, with river run thru that fills with swans and birds a like. Whilst sipping my hot chocolat with a signature pastry in one of many cozy cafes located along the rivers, breathing clean air and beutiful yet warm ambience make you lost of time.

Dinner at home with Janet's cooks a traditional meal ( i forgot what it call). It so so delish make me eat like a cow (thank you Janet for this meal, you and Abg Mat hospitality is beyond only Allah repy your kindness, Amin) , after dinner conversation surround politik, personal and down memory lane as Abg Mat recall his hay days in Malaysia, end the day with lots lots of sweet memories that i cherish till i die. Thank you Allah
